The fall look blows into Downtown

Special by Kyle Kramm, Main Street & CVB director

(Seguin) — The windows of downtown are decked out with signs of the fall season as part of Seguin Main Street’s Scarecrow & Skeleton Contest. As part of the contest, businesses, organizations, and individuals put up a display featuring scarecrows and skeletons in their storefront windows. If they are not near downtown, then Main Street assists with finding a window for their display.

The skeletons and scarecrows were installed last weekend and were judged on Tuesday morning by Mayor Donna Dodgen, Jennifer Sourdellia, and Gay Lynn Olsovsky.

The winners for best displays are as follows:

  • Best Overall – Tarpon Blue Real Estate & Insurance
  • 1st Place – Teatro De Artes De Juan Seguin
  • 2nd Place – KWED
  • 3rd Place – Austin Street Vintage
