(Austin) — Spooky season is here, Seguin, and we have the inside information on an upcoming event you might want to check out. Freaky Deaky is one of Texas’ most prominent music festivals, bringing attendees a Halloween-themed electronic dance music experience. Typically hosted in Houston, Freaky Deaky has moved to Austin for 2023, making it more accessible than ever for Guadalupe County residents to attend.
According to event organizers Disco Donnie Presents, the event will have everything prior attendees expect and much more.
“Disco Donnie Presents (DDP) is excited to reveal that Freaky Deaky will be debuting in its new home in Austin, Texas for the 2023 edition,” they said. “While sad to leave Houston behind, DDP is excited for this new venture. At Freaky Deaky fans get to experience the larger than life spooky stage productions and incomparable sound design, along with a variety of characters as well as stilt walkers who interact with the crowd.”
DDP prides itself on being one of the largest independent promoters in the state and the USA, stating that philanthropy is one of Donnie’s central values, in addition to a commitment to Texas. They hold the same dedication to Freaky Deaky guests and have planned a variety of interactive elements into this year’s festival, including the Freaky Deaky Haunted House, a mind-bending Upside Down Room, Horror Theatre, and a costume contest with chances to win prizes.
“There will also be gravity-defying aerial acrobatics that will leave you in awe,” DDP said. “Zero Gravity Arts is an internationally established technologically-advanced theatrical performance group whose performers will be returning to Freaky Deaky to light up the main stage each night!”
As for the music –– the headlining DJs include some of the EDM scene’s biggest names.
“Freaky Deaky 2023 promises to be the festival dream for any electronic music enthusiast,” DDP said. “This year’s lineup is packed with a raucous roster of today’s top acts featuring JOYRYDE, Alison Wonderland (sunset set), Crankdat, Gryffin, Wenzday, Slushii, INZO, Stella Bossi, Ray Volpe, Dr. Fresch and plenty more.”
This year’s Freaky Deaky Festival is just a month away and will take place on Saturday, October 28, and Sunday, October 29, at the Travis County Exposition Center in Austin, TX. Single-day passes and two-day entry are available with VIP access to those seeking a more luxurious experience. It is an 18+ event.
