(Geronimo) — On Monday, Navarro High School senior Landun Taylor received an offer to play college baseball at Southeastern Baptist College.
Taylor was named to the Texas High School Coaches Association Class 4A All-State First Team as a junior this past season. Taylor was tops on the Panthers with a .510 batting average serving as Navarro’s lead-off hitter in the 2023 season. He also lead Navarro with 49 hits, 46 runs and nine triples.
Taylor played in the outfield and also pitched in five games for the Panthers. He started three games including a series-clinching victory over Sealy in the UIL Area round playoffs.
Taylor earned First Team All-District accolades as an outfielder. He was named to the Academic All-District team as well.
A multi-sport athlete at Navarro, Taylor also plays for the Panther football team. He was named an All-District defensive end in 2022.
Southeastern Baptist College is located in Laurel, Mississippi. The Chargers are a National Christian College Athletic Association Division-II baseball program. Their head coach is Rafael Farrell.
