(Seguin) — A Seguin woman was killed following a weekend crash at the intersection of FM 466 and FM 477 near Schneider Road.
Sgt. Kenny Mata of the Texas Department of Public Safety says the accident occurred at 9:35 pm. Saturday. He says reports indicate that the driver of a 2017 Chevy Silverado failed to stop at a stop sign while traveling south on FM 466 striking a Chevy Equinox heading east on FM 477. The victim of the crash has been identified as 21 year old Mayra Noemi Guevara.
Two passengers in the Equinox were also injured in the crash. They include a 4-year-old child, who was transported to Guadalupe Regional Medical Center; and a 45-year-old woman, who was transported to BAMC in San Antonio.
The driver of the pickup truck, 25-year old Ryan Aviles of San Marcos was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and two counts of intoxication assault with a vehicle causing bodily injury. Mata says investigation into the crash continues.
