(Seguin) – Seguin ISD students will get the chance to step on campus today before next week’s first day of school. Today marks Meet the Teacher or schedule pick up day for local schools.
Elementary schools will welcome students and their families today from 3 to 6 p.m. Children are encouraged to bring their school supplies, tour their schools, and meet their teachers for the upcoming school year.
A.J. Briesemeister Middle School 7th and 8th graders are encouraged to pick up their schedules today from 4 to 6 p.m. Due to ongoing construction, today’s events will simply be limited to picking up schedules. Students in athletics, however, are asked to attend a meeting with coaches at 5 p.m. in the gym. Sixth graders were treated to their own Meet the Teacher and tour of the campus Wednesday night.
Jim Barnes Middle School students will host its Meet the Teacher for 6th through 8th graders today from 4 to 6 p.m. While any grade can come at any time, school officials are hoping to alleviate the crowds by asking that the first hour be utilized for sixth graders if at all possible.
Seguin High School is also welcoming back students today from 4 to 6 p.m. Students will also get the chance to pick up their schedules and meet this year’s core of teachers.
