Fire destroys area home

(Guadalupe County) – Investigation continues into a structure fire Thursday morning in northern Guadalupe County. The fire was reported in
the 15,000 block of State Highway 123 in San Marcos.
Guadalupe County Fire Marshal Patrick Pinder says the house was a total loss displacing its two residents. Two pets were also reported missing.
No other injuries, however, were reported.
A band of fire and county departments were called in to assist. They included York Creek, New Braunfels, Marion, San Marcos, Guadalupe County
Fire Rescue and the Guadalupe County Road and Bridge Department.
Pinder says the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
