(Seguin) — The Zion Hill Running Club recently earned several gold medals in USA Track & Field Junior Olympics qualifying.
The club competed in a total of five meets over the last five weeks with a total of 11 days of competition. The meets were a part of qualifying for the National Championships.
In total, 32 event qualifiers competed in Ft. Worth in what was a state meet to qualify for the USATF Junior Olympics. 43 event qualifiers competed in Seguin and then Converse in a region that ranged in South and Central Texas over two weeks to qualify for the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Junior Olympics.
The Zion Hill Running Club had a total of 34 top five finishes. The following athletes took home the gold for the club:

The USATF Junior Olympics will be held in Eugene, Oregon at Heyward Field from July 23rd through July 29th. The Junior Olympics will be followed by a Des Moines, Iowa competition from July 30th through August 5th.
The Seguin-based Zion Hill Running Club competes in numerous cross-county and track races in addition to participation in AAU and USATF events and competitions.
