For Immediate Release
SEGUIN, Texas — TLU women’s soccer head coach Kerwin Johnson released the full 2023 schedule today. Along with the SCAC schedule, the Bulldogs will also compete in eleven non-conference games.

“We’re really eager to start the 2023 fall season,” Johnson said. “With the returning group and the new additions, we truly feel we are capable of having a special season. This being our 2nd season as a staff, the humble winning mentality is being implemented and that is refreshing to be a part of. Excited for the new challenges that we will face this season.”

The Bulldogs’ seven-game 2023 SCAC schedule will feature four home games with Schreiner (Oct. 13), Trinity (Oct. 15), Dallas (Oct. 22), and Southwestern (Oct. 27) and three road games against Centenary (Oct. 6), St. Thomas (Oct. 8), and Austin College (Oct. 20).

Prior to the beginning of non-conference play, the Bulldogs will open the 2023 season with two exhibition games, traveling to Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio on Aug. 21, before their annual Alumni Game on Saturday, Aug. 26.

TLU’s non-conference schedule consists of four home matches and seven away contests. The Bulldogs will host Huston-Tillotson (Aug. 29) for the 2023 season and home opener before traveling to Schreiner (Sept. 1) and returning to Gustafson Field to face East Texas Baptist (Sept. 3).

Texas Lutheran will then travel to California to face Caltech (Sept. 8) and Chapman (Sept. 10) before returning to Seguin to host Howard Payne (Sept. 15).

The Bulldogs will then travel to Hardin-Simmons (Sept. 19) and Mary Hardin-Baylor (Sept. 22), a 2022 NCAA Tournament qualifier, before returning to host Concordia (Sept. 25) and travel to Southwestern (Sept. 29) to close non-conference play.
