(Marion) — Seguin High School graduating seniors Ryan Rangel and Ashlie Aguilar will compete in the inaugural San Antonio Softball All Star Game on Monday at Marion High School.
Both student-athletes wrapped up four-year letters for Seguin softball coach John Garcia. Rangel and Aguilar were multi-sport athletes at Seguin. Both competed on the volleyball team and Aguilar also played for the Lady Matador basketball team.
Rangel, who plays first base, will attend St. Edward’s University in Austin. Former Seguin softball player Shelby Janda is an assistant coach at the Division-II program. The Hilltoppers compete in the Lone Star Conference.
Aguilar will join Rangel in playing softball on the next level. The second baseman has committed to John Melvin University in Crowley, Louisiana. The Millers compete in the Gulf-Atlantic Christian Athletic Conference.
The San Antonio Softball All Star Game takes place Monday, June 5th at Marion High School. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
