SEGUIN, Texas — Playing the best baseball of his TLU career, junior Tyler Post (San Antonio/Johnson) has been rewarded with SCAC Hitter of the Week honors for the second time this season after his superb performance against University of Dallas this weekend.Post hit .545 (6-for-11) with a homer, a double, nine RBI, and three runs scored as the Bulldogs swept the Crusaders to now sit in first place in the SCAC standings. He had a hit in all three games, including multiple hits in the final two contests, highlighted by a 3-for-5, six RBI performance in TLU’s 29-6 victory on Saturday.A core member of the heart of the Bulldogs lineup, Post maintained a .563 on-base percentage and .909 slugging percentage while recording multiple RBI in two of the three games this weekend.
On the season, the San Antonio, Texas, native leads the SCAC in home runs (10), RBI (55), and runs (35) and is third in batting average (.369).
On the season, Texas Lutheran has had four players earn a SCAC weekly honor with Post earning honors twice.
Post and the Bulldogs will be back in action on Wednesday when they play host to the McMurry War Hawks in non-conference action. First pitch is scheduled for 4 PM at Katt-Isbel Field. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
