(Guadalupe County) — After being arrested on Saturday for DWI, a Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Deputy found himself returning to work on Monday, but only to submit his resignation.
Deputy Caleb Rabel was arrested on Saturday by the Converse Police Department. Rabel faces charges of both driving while intoxicated and evading arrest.
Josh Ray, chief deputy for the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office, confirms that Rabel was arrested by the Converse PD and then transported to the Bexar County Jail.
According to officials, he was released the next day on a personal recognizance bond.
The deputy had been employed with the sheriff’s office for the last four years.
