(Abilene) — Two Seguin Matador powerlifters competed at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association state meet in Abilene on Saturday.
In the 114 pound weight class, James Medrano squatted 435 pounds and bench pressed 220 pounds. Gabriel Soliz squated 370 pounds, bench pressed 215 pounds and dead lifted 350 pounds in the 123 pound weight class.
As a team, Medrano and Soliz finished in 42nd place at the state meet for the Matadors.
