(Abilene) — Two Seguin Matador powerlifters will compete this Saturday at the state meet in Abilene.
James Medrano and Gabe Soliz advanced at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association Regional in Cleburne and will now head to the state meet. Medrano took first in the 114-pound weight class at the Cleburne meet. Soliz finished 8th in the 123-pound weight class to qualify for the state championship.
The state meet takes place on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene.
