(Marion) — Marion’s Richard Rayos was named to the 2022-23 Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Class 3A All-Region Four Team.
Rayos was one of 20 players named to the team. The junior lead the Bulldogs averaging 13.7 points per game this past season. He was also tops on the team with 2.8 assists per contest and tied senior Dominic Castellanos for the team lead in steals with 1.9 per game.
Rayos and the Bulldogs finished the season in fourth place in District 26-3A under longtime head coach Jon Allen. Marion fell to Edna 64-57 in overtime in the UIL Bi-District round to close out their season last month.
