(Seguin) — The weather might be a bit cool, but it isn’t stopping families from enjoying the start of the splash pad season at Seguin’s Park West.
That’s according to Erica Taft, the assistant director for the Seguin Parks and Recreation Department.
Taft says the city is excited to welcome families back to the splash pad this Spring Break week.
“It’s been running great. Our guys have been testing it. Our team works really hard all year round to make that splash pad. It’s a very sensitive piece of equipment. Their heart is with the community and they work really really hard to make sure it goes as well as it can. They come out on weekends. They come out all the time just to make sure it’s running. I’m excited. During the last of the summer, it stayed open the whole time and we had a lot of mechanical issues in the past and I’m very excited about this coming year,” said Taft.
The splash is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Splash Pad officially opens each year in March and runs through the end of October.
