(Seguin) — The accolades continue to roll in for Seguin star football player Devin Matthews.
Last week, Matthews was recognized on the Padilla Poll Coaches 2022 Class 5A Division I All-State team. The senior was named 2nd team all-state as a returner.
Matthews, who took home the District 12-5A MVP this past season, lead the Matadors with five scores on kickoff returns and one on a punt return. He had 2,132 all purpose yards with 13 receiving touchdowns plus two rushing touchdowns including a 71 yard walk off score against Hays in the Matadors 6th win of the season.
