(Devine) — The Navarro Runnin’ Lady Panthers took home the championship at the Devine Shootout Tournament on Saturday beating Harper 38-30 in the tournament final.
Senior Tatum Harborth was named the tournament Most Valuable Player after averaging 26.8 points in the five victories over three days for Navarro. Tatum’s younger sister, sophomore Tegan Harborth was named to the All-Tournament team. Senior Ryanne Hepp was also named to the All-Tourney team.
The Lady Panthers took down Aransas Pass 64-47 and routed Eagle Pass 81-26 on Thursday. Tatum Harborth scored 32 points in the tournament opener and then poured in 33 in the day’s second game to lead Navarro in scoring. Karlee Koenig scored 12 and eight, Tegan Harborth had eight and 14, Ryanne Hepp five and 10, Sienna Kramer five and four, Evie Scott had two points in each game.
Hadlee Wilson scored four points in the win over Eagle Pass while Regan Herrera and Madi Gilliam chipped in with two points a piece.
Navarro went 2-0 on Friday beating tournament host Devine 58-38 and dropping Southwest Legacy 64-43. Tatum Harborth lead the Lady Panthers with 28 points in each game.
In the championship game on Saturday, the Lady Panthers got 13 points from Tatum Harborth, eight each from Hepp and Kramer, five from Tegan Harborth, three from Koening and one from Wilson.
