(Seguin) – Seguin might just be the place to be this weekend if you are looking to do all your shopping under one roof.
The annual Yulefest Arts and Crafts Show returns this weekend to the Seguin Coliseum. The show, hosted by the Seguin Art League, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Yulefest Chairman Karen Roberson says the show is a rare and unique opportunity to find those perfectly crafted and hand embellished items.
She says the huge show is both inside and outside.
“We have approximately a dozen vendors who are bringing food items, pies, pecans, chocolate bombs, teas, cookies — all various things. We have Christmas decor wreaths and ornaments. We have jewelry, copper fused glass, beading, silver, semi precious, Christmas cards, plates, sewing ,crochet, embroidery, quilts, table runners, paintings, photographs, pottery and sculpture. We have wooden items like bird houses, decorative cutting boards, charctuerie boards, dolls, custom made knives. We have leather products, homemade soaps and lotions and plants. That’s probably not everything but that’s just an idea,” said Roberson.
This year, Yulefest is set to welcome over 100 vendors. Roberson says the show each year continues to draw in more and more people.
“We have the most spaces this year than we have ever had. We have over 100 and they come from locally, within the 50 mile radius and also we have some from Johannes, George West, Bertram, Lancaster, Cedar Creek, San Antonio, Adkins, Cibolo, St. Hedwig, La Vernia, Schertz, New Braunfels, San Marcos. We have people from all over,” said Roberson.
There is no admission to enter. The Seguin Coliseum is located at 950 S. Austin St.
