Men, Women's Power Luncheon set for this Thursday at Seguin Coliseum

(Seguin) — Tickets are still available for this week’s Men and Women’s Power Luncheon. The event recognizing business and community leaders is being hosted by the Seguin-Guadalupe County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Seguin Coliseum.

Gloria Sasser, the publicity chair for the Hispanic chamber, says due to the COVID pandemic, the chamber these past two years was forced to cancel the event.

This year, she says the chamber is excited about returning to its annual tradition. She says the luncheon pays tribute to individuals and businesses who continue to make contributions in the community.

“The women are Debbie Hernandez with the Guadalupe Regional Medical Center, Cindy Moreno with Seguin ISD, Dina Dillon with Guadalupe Valley Young Marines, Felisa Ramirez with the American Legion Post #245 and Brenda Flores with Joe Cool AC and Heating and then we get to Jerry Rios with the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office, Steve Parker, our city manager, Bobby Deike with Community Council (of South Central Texas), Alejandro Guerra with Seguin ISD Board of Trustees and Ernest Servantes with of course, Burnt Bean and of course, our new category, Business of the Year, Seguin Chevrolet,” said Sasser.

Tickets are $15 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the Hispanic Chamber office located at 971 W. Court St or they can be purchased at the door. Tickets may also be set aside by contacting the chamber office at 830-372-3151.
