(Seguin) — The countdown to this year’s Guadalupe County Fair and PRCA Rodeo begins with the arrival of the new Guadalupe County Fair Guide. The Guadalupe County Fair Association and Seguin Radio KWED/Seguin Daily News have again teamed up to bring the community the one and only official fair catalog.
Chiming in on what’s all included is Gail Damerau, a member of the fair association’s board of directors. Damerau says all of the details that families need to know about this year’s event are included in both the online and 40 page printed fair catalog.
“We just want everybody to know that our website is full of information and our catalogs are fresh, hot off the press and they are going to be available at numerous locations around Seguin so there’s a big list of those and we will get those out on our social media pages if they want to pick out a location for that and I’m sure KWED will get that list out for us and it has all the details as far as a full schedule. It has a full general information on all the different things that you can enter and do at the fair — all the information about our parking and our shuttle that we will have this year and we have a full schedule of events from pre-fair events to starting the official day for Wednesday, Oct. 5 and then we go through Sunday, Oct. 9,” said Damerau.
Damerau says folks will want to get their hands on a catalog as soon as possible. She says that’s because they won’t want to miss any pre-registrations, contest deadlines and other pre-fair events.
“We don’t want to forget those pre-fair things like the barbecue kick-off and the huge mutton bustin that we will have and we’ve got maps out there for everybody to see the grounds and check out the parade route information so there’s lots of different things happening downtown. There’s lots of different things happening down at the Seguin Events Center and we just got that all together in a booklet with our great sponsors and our advertisers in that catalog. So get out and get those catalogs located. You can also download that catalog at our website at gcfair.org. There’s a big yellow fair catalog tab button in the top right and it gives you all the details,” said Damerau.
