(Seguin) – Do you want a seat on the Seguin City Council? Filing for a place on the Nov. 8 General Election is now underway. Filing is now available for City Council Districts 3, 5, 7 and 8. Currently representing those seats are Council members Chris Aviles, District 3; Jeremy Roy, District 5 and Mark Herbold District 8. There is currently a vacancy in District 7. That’s after the early resignation of former Councilwoman Penny Wallace.
Those interested on appearing on the ballot are asked to stop by Seguin City Hall at 205 N. River Street and pick up an election packet from the city secretary’s office. Regular office hours are Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Filing for Seguin City Council began on Monday. The last day to file for the election is Monday, August 22, by 5 pm.
