(Seguin) – Here is your warning if you live south of Max Starcke Park and in the city of Seguin.
City of Seguin officials say a significant number of households south of the Power Plant Restaurant will have a lengthy interruption of water service beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, July 18. They say the 4 to 6 hour interruption is necessary while the city’s contractor completes a pipe reroute/connection under the State Hwy. 123 bridge.
Jennifer Sourdellia, the public information officer for the city of Seguin, says the city is asking that residents plan accordingly.
“We are going to have about 134 residential customers and approximately 15 commercial business customers south of the Power Plant restaurant that are going to be without water service starting at 9 o’clock Monday morning, July 18th and if you are someone you know maybe either it’s a neighbor or older individual or relative that you know that may not receive this information off our Facebook page or may not be (reading) this be sure to share this information with these people,” said Sourdellia.
Residents and businesses on the following streets in the area will be affected. They include
Sutherland Springs Rd.
Pecan Orchard Ln.
Stockdale Hwy.
Cottage St.
Nagel St.
Troell St.
Violet St.
Bluebonnet St.
The city has provided a map to highlight the impacted area. That map is also available on the city’s website and Facebook page.
City officials say this again is a planned water outage and will last for approximately 4 to 6 hours.
