(Seguin) — Nine men and women are behind bars today as a result of a nearly two-year investigation into a local drug trafficking organization initiated by the Guadalupe County Narcotic Taskforce.
According to the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office, just before 9 a.m. Friday, local and federal law enforcement agencies executed multiple search and arrest warrants in the Seguin area.
During the course of this investigation, investigators learned that this organization is responsible for the distribution of Methamphetamines, Counterfeit Percocet pills, and Alprazolam pills in the Seguin and the greater Guadalupe County area. Multiple undercover operations over this period resulted in seizing over a kilogram of Methamphetamine linked to this organization, as well counterfeit Percocet Pills.
These counterfeit pills were laboratory confirmed to contain Fentanyl, a highly potent and dangerous Opioid. Friday, federal search warrants were executed at a residence in the 600 block of N. Guadalupe St. and in the 3000 block of Old Ilka Rd.
In addition to these Search Warrants, multiple suspects were arrested for State and Federal Arrest Warrants. The associates of this illegal drug trafficking organization arrested are identified as Sam Medina Garcia, Marcus Rose, Jesse Celaya, Jessie Joe Rodriguez, Sonia Yvonne Garcia, Gregorio Rodriguez, Adele Sassenhagen, Christine Lee Bolton and Jonathan Bordovsky.
During the execution of search warrants, additional methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl pills, and five firearms were seized.
Additional arrests are anticipated in relation to this investigation.
Agents and taskforce officers from the San Antonio District Office of the Drug Enforcement Administration assisted local law enforcement as this investigation progressed into 2022.
Over the course of this investigation, the Guadalupe County Narcotics Taskforce was assisted by the Seguin Police Department and Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office patrol divisions, The Guadalupe County SWAT Team, The Texas Department of Public Safety, The Drug Enforcement Administration, Customs and Border Patrol Agency, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and the Guadalupe County Attorney’s Office.
Additionally, numerous tips from the public regarding the drug activity in the 600 Block of Guadalupe Street assisted the Guadalupe County Narcotics Taskforce over the course of this investigation. The Guadalupe County Narcotics Taskforce is composed of detectives, investigators, and criminal interdiction K9 Units from the Seguin and Cibolo Police Departments, and the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office.
