Man in critical condition following weekend shooting; Suspect still at large


(Seguin) – The manhunt continues for a suspect who shot another man during a weekend disturbance. Seguin Police Officials say a Pflugerville man is fighting for his life at a San Antonio hospital after being shot at a local home in Seguin. Seguin Police officials the incident was reported just before 7 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Benbo.

Upon arrival, officers located the 50-year-old male victim. The man was found with a life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim currently remains in critical condition.

The search is now underway for Norman “Trey” Powell, 38, of Seguin.

Witnesses stated the victim and Powell got into a verbal argument, which quickly escalated.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Powell for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon by Justice of the Peace Pct. 1 Darrell Hunter. When the warrant was obtained, bonds were set at $100,000.
