(Seguin) — A 20-year-old Vitesco Technologies employee has found himself behind bars after threating to shoot inside of the workplace.
Seguin Police officials on Sunday, May 29th, they received a call for threats that were found written on a facilities wall of Vitesco, formerly Continental. They say the threat read “gonna shoot this warehouse on June 4, 2022.”
Further investigation revealed the employee Angel Ivan Barraza had written the threat, which he later admitted to doing so.
Due to the threat causing Vitesco Technologies staff to feel imminent fear of serious bodily injury, an arrest warrant was obtained for Barraza for one count of Terroristic Threat which was issued by Judge Darrell Hunter, Guadalupe County Justice of the Peace Pct 1.
Judge Hunter set bond at $10,000. Barraza was taken into custody at the Seguin Police Department and transported to the Guadalupe County Jail.
Police officials say Vitesco Technologies has taken extra security precautions to help ensure the safety of their employees at this time. Company officials say any threat made that causes or places the public in fear of imminent serious bodily injury is a serious matter and will be investigated to the fullest extent by the Seguin Police Department.
