(Seguin) — The Seguin community is invited to join together today for an evening of prayer, lament and hope for the community and families of Uvalde and Robb Elementary School.
Rev. Marcus Bigott of Emanuel’s Lutheran Church says pastors from across the Seguin area will lead readings and prayers. He says tables of cards will also be provided to help offer prayers, notes and thoughts to families, staff, students and first responders in the Uvalde community.
He says these cards will be mailed on Wednesday. Opportunities will also be provided for those who wish to make a financial gift to those impacted.
The prayer vigil gets underway at 7 p.m. today on the lawn of Emanuel’s Lutheran Church located at 206 N. Travis St.
Hosting the event will also be Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, First Presbyterian Church, Frieden’s United Church of Christ; Refuge Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ and Texas Lutheran University’s Campus Ministry.
