SISD celebrates its teachers of the year


(Seguin) — The school year can’t wrap up without celebrating the daily accomplishments of all teachers especially those selected as the Teacher of the Year for their respective Seguin ISD campus.
The top 13 teachers in the Seguin ISD for the 2021-2022 school year have been named. The teachers were each selected as Teacher of the Year by their campus peers.
Those named as Teacher of the Year for their respective schools include Kim Miller , of Ball Early Childhood Center; Lauren Klar of Jefferson Avenue Elementary School; Stephanie Kauitzsch, of Koennecke Elementary School; Amy Styles, of McQueeney Elementary School; Chawanda Jackson, of Patlan Elementary School; Rachel Bloxham, of Rodriguez Elementary School; Yvonne Diaz of Vogel Elementary School; Karen Lindenberg, of Weinert Elementary School; Bobbie Parsons, of Barnes Middle School; Aubrie Wells, of Briesemeister Middle School; Hector Rosales, of Alternative School; Stephen McCullough, of Mercer-Blumberg Learning Center and Christy Rodriguez, of Seguin High School.
Each of these teachers will now go on to compete for the district’s title of Seguin ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year and Secondary Teacher of the Year. The annual awards banquet for that contest is slated for Thursday, May 26.
