One killed during weekend car crash in Seguin

(Seguin) – A 20-year-old Gonzales woman has died following injuries sustained in a two vehicle crash early Sunday morning. Seguin Police officials say the victim has been identified as Elizabeth Solis. Solis was reportedly the passenger in a Mitsubishi Outlander when it was struck by a Jeep Liberty in the 1200 block of W. Kingsbury St.

Officials say a preliminary investigation reveals that the Jeep Liberty vehicle being driven by a 52-year-old New Braunfels woman was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of W. Kingsbury when it collided head on into a Mitsubishi Outlander. According to officers, the driver of the Jeep Liberty admitted to consuming multiple alcoholic beverages prior to driving.

The 22-year-old male driver of the Mitsubishi Outlander from San Antonio and the driver of the Jeep Liberty were both transported by Seguin EMS to a Kyle area hospital. Both are listed in critical condition.

They say Solis was transported by Air-Life to a San Antonio hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Investigation into the accident continues.
