(Seguin) — If you are just now realizing that it’s Valentine’s Day, don’t stress out. That’s because local flower and gift shops like Dietz Flower Shop are here for the rescue.
Jamie Lum, of Dietz Flower Shop, says for the most part, there really isn’t anything to worry about.
“There is still time to come in and get something or order for their special sweetheart in their life. We have plenty of selections but order early. They can give us a call or they can even stop in,” said Lum.
Lum says today remains one of the busiest days of the year for the floral industry. She says making sure you are covered takes months of planning.
Lum says because they spent most of the time delivering flowers over the weekend, it has allowed them a little more time to ensure that you don’t come home empty handed.
“It’s been spread out so a little bit each day but of course, today being the finisher of the day, it’s going to be our busiest,” said Lum.
Flower shops, however, are not the only ones who will be busy today. Local retailers have also been feeling the added pressure to stock up on those special gifts.
Some stores have also chosen to remain open just a bit longer today and because they won’t be able to guarantee that all items will be in stock, they are asking customers to call, stop by or shop online for those flowers and gifts as soon as possible.
