(Seguin) — Seguin is inviting you to celebrate its art world this weekend. Tickets are now on sale for this year’s Art at the Texas Fundraiser. The event is being hosted by the Seguin Commission on the Arts.
Kyle Kramm, the director of both the Seguin Main Street and Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), says plans are in place for the return of the fundraiser scheduled for Saturday night at the Texas Theatre.
“This year, we are going to have the full ceremony come back again where we will present our 2021 awards but also will re-introduce our 2020 honorees as well,” said Kramm.
Kramm says there’s still plenty of time to purchase your $25 advance ticket. He says each ticket comes with a full night of food and entertainment.
“The ticket includes heavy Hors d’oeuvres being catered by Davila’s barbecue and also live entertainment by Teatro De Artes (Abraham Silva and Isabella Guerra), Mid-Texas Symphony players (Craig Sorgi and Laura Scalzo) and the De Leons as well as one complimentary beverage,” said Kramm.
Kramm says the art world is important for any community especially for Seguin and invites residents to come out and show their support.
“It’s a great opportunity to come out and support the arts in Seguin. Help us recognize our artists as well as just support a lot of our organizations. In addition, there will be a silent auction where the proceeds from the auction are split between several art organizations in Seguin,” said Kramm.
Awards presented at Art at the Texas includes Outstanding Contributor to the Arts, Youth Artist of the Year and Art Organization of the Year.
The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the theatre located at 425 N. Austin St.
Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the Main Street and Visitor Center at 116 N. Camp St., Gift and Gourmet or Court Street Coffee. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.eventbrite.com.
