Sidney Hoermann, son of Albert Hoermann, Sr., and Lena Jarutowicz, born on April 14, 1936, in Seguin, Texas, and died on May 9, 2021, at his home.
Growing up in Seguin, he graduated from the local high school and attended Texas A&I College. While there, he met the love of his life—Kaye Townsend—and they were married on February 6, 1958. After graduation, Sid served for several years in the U.S. Army—in West Germany. During that time, he and Kaye had their first daughter, Tina. On their return to the U.S., they moved to Sebastian, Texas, where he was a teacher and coach. While there, they had their second daughter, Deborah. Eventually, Sid worked in sales in the farm-seed business—for over 30 years. In the 1960s he and Kaye purchased a family farm outside Seguin, renamed it the Lucky-4 Ranch, and lived there since the mid-1970s. In addition to cherishing Kaye, his daughters, and grandchildren, he loved spending time in the country.
Sid was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two brothers, Harvey and Jesse, and his son-in-law, Dudley Schwab. He is survived by his daughters, Tina Schwab and Deborah Watt (and husband Alan), three grandchildren, Sabina Schwab, Philip Watt, and Sydney Watt, four brothers, Leroy, Bob, Arlon, Grady, and a sister, Doris Spellman.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 12th, 11:00 am, at Christ Lutheran Church, Seguin (Elm Creek) at 3305 Church Road, the Rev. Toby Burk officiating.
