Volunteers sought for future vaccination clinics

Volunteers sought for future vaccination clinics

(Seguin) — More volunteers are still needed to help with the COVID-19 vaccine clinics here in Seguin. The mass vaccination clinics are typically held on Thursdays in the Coliseum. They are jointly hosted by the city, Guadalupe County and GRMC.

Blaire Zahn’s day job is with the city’s Main Street Program and CVB, but for the last couple of months she’s helped with the vaccination clinics. Zahn says volunteering has been made easy, with a signup survey available online.

“Anybody who is able and willing and wants to spend half a day or a whole day with us, they are more than welcome enter their name to help volunteer. We have a survey online that basically helps us to screen volunteers. Since it is sort of a sensitive kind of clinic, we want to make sure that we are kinda going through (and) checking the people that are volunteering. They fill out that survey online. We will then follup with them and match them to an appropriate position and one that they are comfortable with,” said Zahn.

“We need people to alphabetize forms, or help us check-in (people) or give people directions through the building and things like that. So, we’ve got jobs for everybody.”

Volunteers are needed for three to four hour shifts — either from 8:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. or 12:45 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The signup link can be found by clicking here.
