TX Lieutenant Governor Outlines COVID Rules

(Austin) — Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick is outlining the Texas Senate’s coronavirus rules for the start of the 2021 legislative session. Patrick says all senators will get a coronavirus test on January 12 when the session is supposed to begin.

There will be strict limits on who can be on the Senate floor with no plans for floor seating. The gallery will be limited to less than 100 guests and there are plans to enforce social distancing rules.

Patrick did not say if masks would be required on opening day.
