(Austin) — Texas officials are extending the state rental assistance program through mid-March. The move comes after the federal eviction moratorium was extended through January of next year.
Both renters and landlords can apply to get help. More information is available on the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs website.
The Texas Workforce Commission is also offering help to Texans. The TWC is offering help for those eateries hard hit by the COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions. The TWC now has a new Restaurant Recovery Initiative to help restaurants that are struggling during COVID-19. TWC chair Bryan Daniel says the campaign is designed to help the restaurant sector to rebuild, survive and grow even in the face of the COVID-19 restrictions.
