Guadalupe County issues stay at home order

Seguin, TX, USA / Seguin Today

(Seguin) — Guadalupe County Judge Kyle Kutscher has amended county emergency management order and issued a stay at home order for the county.

Conditions regarding the COVID-19 outbreak are expected to continue to worsen, and the order asks all county residents to remain and stay at their place of residence. Trips outside the home should only be for essential functions, and when people go out they should practice social distancing.

The order also means that most businesses in the county will be required to cease operations. Only essential operations, as defined in the order, will be allowed to continue.

The number of COVID-19 cases has been on the rise in the county, and the peak is expected in a week or two. The stay at home order is an attempt to try to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus that causes the COVID-19 illness.
