(Seguin) — Seguin Radio KWED is working to make gift giving easy this Valentine’s Day.
Love is officially back “on the air” as the radio station promotes its annual Best (Ever) Valentine’s Day Contest.
Nick Spence, sales manager for KWED/Seguin Daily News, says the promotion was such a success last year that the radio station decided to do it again and partner up with 11 businesses for this year’s contest.
“The way it works is we will have a number of different local businesses that will have a sign up box at their business and you just go around to the different businesses, put your name in basically enter and you have a chance to win different prizes from each business that you enter,” said Spence.
Spence says he encourages folks to not only stop by those stores that they frequent but to stop by all participating businesses.
“The current businesses that are participating are my My Tiger Lily, Dietz Flower Shop, San Anthony Jewelry, Joe Cools A/C and Heating, Southern Goods, The Shop, Seguin Storage, Court Street Coffee Shop, Print This (box found at KWED Radio) and HK Yoga and then we have one out of New Braunfels which is called Perky Peacock. You have until the end of the business day on Feb. 12th to enter and the drawing and the winners will be announced on Feb. 13,” said Spence.
Spence says great prizes will be drawn for this year’s contest. He says winners will not be disappointed.
“The prizes will be a $50 value. We don’t know exactly what they will be. It could range from maybe some in-store credit or gift certificate to that company or a gift card or some sort of other prize. But it’s supposed to be a $50 value or more,” said Spence.
The magic of it all, according to Spence, is that customers who visit all of the participating locations, will have a chance to win a prize from each of those businesses.
“If there are 11 businesses, you have 11 different chances to win. All you have to do is go to each different business or wherever the box may be for that company and just enter your name and that will give you a chance to win,” said Spence.
There is no purchase necessary to win. The raffle box for Print This will be available in the lobby of Seguin Radio KWED located at 609 E. Court St. Again, the last day to enter the contest is Wednesday, Feb. 12.
