Jose Crescencio Galvan better known as “Chencho” of Seguin, Texas entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the age of 74. He was born to Crescencio Galvan Sr. and Rita Garcia Galvan on August 14, 1945 in Seguin, Texas. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, 6 brothers, 6 sisters and his dog Panchito. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Josephine Solis Galvan; children, Lisa Galvan Vallejo and husband Ryan, Gregory Joe Galvan Sr. and wife Edna, Gilbert Sassenhagen Jr.; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jacob, Ashlie, Joe Raymond, Gregory Jr., Gracie, Anthony; sisters, Tina Morales, Inez Hernandez, Frances Diaz, Modesta Mercado and numerous great-grandchildren and extended family, friends and loving furry companion, Peanut. “Chencho” was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He had a passion for gardening, fishing and especially loved sitting outside enjoying life. His children and grandchildren meant the world to him. Chencho also spread the word of god as a Co-Pastor at several different churches throughout his life. He enjoyed watching Dallas Cowboy games and was very artistic and hands on, if he envisioned a project he would set out to make it happen through his arts and crafts. Chencho will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary, services will conclude at the funeral home.
