Downtown Seguin open for entrepreneurs

Seguin, TX, USA / Seguin Today

Downtown Seguin open for entrepreneurs

(Seguin) — One of the great things about downtowns is their unique business mix of mom and pop retailers, restaurants, salons, office, small scale manufacturing and financial institutions. And more importantly are the people you find behind the cash registers and desks that are a part of the team leading the way for a healthy and thriving downtown. That is exactly what downtown is – a team of dedicated individuals working to a common purpose of a fully occupied and revitalized downtown historic district. No where else in the community will you find this team effort of entrepreneurs across all sectors working together, and that is just one advantage of opening your business in downtown Seguin.

For those budding entrepreneurs, the Seguin Main Street Program wants to ensure they know about the advantages awaiting them in downtown Seguin and the perfect brick-and-mortar space is awaiting them.
“Downtown Seguin is the heart of the community, full of history and welcoming to entrepreneurs looking to start their own business,” said Kyle Kramm, Seguin Main Street & CVB director, “We offer a variety of incentives to downtown businesses and property owners, marketing, free small business training and more for our downtown businesses.”

There is available space for all types of businesses in downtown Seguin, and spaces available for lease and purchase.
A variety of retail spaces of different sizes are available. For example, 106 West Court Street is a small 1000 square foot space perfect for a specialty retailer ready to be leased. A little down the street is a larger space available for purchase or lease at 112 West Court Street. Both these spaces can be adapted to serve a variety of retail businesses.

A big need for downtown is additional restaurants and Main Street is excited to work with any experienced restaurateur looking to open their next kitchen. Two leasable spaces in downtown have existing commercial kitchens; they are 110 East Court Street set up for a nice casual dining restaurant and the first floor of the Park Plaza Hotel waiting for a fine dining establishment.

Office professionals are also welcomed in downtown Seguin. Single offices are available in the Aumont and the Blumberg building. Whole office suites are also available in Seguin’s historic post office on Camp Street and on the second floor at 113 South Camp Street.
