Anthony Allen Baer, age 85 of Seguin, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 22, 2019. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery. Anthony was born on April 7, 1934 in Guadalupe County, TX to Albert and Rosenda (Grein) Baer. He served for two years in the United States Army, proudly serving his country. Anthony was an employee of the Pat Baker Company for forty years where he served as a heavy equipment operator. On the side he enjoyed cattle ranching. He was a member of the Cattleman’s Association and spent many Wednesdays at the Cattle Auction in Seguin. He loved spending time with his family, especially entertaining his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Max Anthony Baer, his brothers, Joseph, Sylvester, and Ferdie Baer. Survivors include his daughter, Jackie Lehnhoff and husband Paul; son, Don Baer and wife Donna; grandchildren, Jessica Lehnhoff, Kristin Collison and husband Drew, Betsy James and husband David, Toni Baer and John Baer; great-grandsons, Drew, Russell, Thomas, John Robert and Bobby; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
