(Seguin) — It didn’t take long for the Seguin Police Department to track down a suspect in the city’s latest shooting incident. Officials say just a week after Saturnino Gutierrez, 22, was shot in the 600 block of San Antonio Avenue, police have made an arrest.
They say officers at around 8:30 p.m. Sunday executed an arrest warrant at Max Starcke Park for Fabian Alvarado, 26. Alvarado was wanted in connection with the June 2 shooting of Gutierrez at the local home.
Alvarado was transported to the Guadalupe County Jail, where he was booked on a charge of aggravated assault with a weapon. Alvarado remains in the Guadalupe County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
