(Seguin) — It’s time to put on your stretchy pants and head on over to the Seguin Public Library. The library is continuing this months’ Cinco De Mayo celebration with a Nacho Libre Watch Party this Saturday.
Erica Reyes, library assistant/social media specialist, says the library is excited about showing the movie and offering some free comedic relief this weekend.
“I know during May, there were a lot of activities at the beginning of the month but we are doing it now and it’s a way for people to come together in the library and it’s just a funny movie. Everybody who I have talked to or mentioned it to are just excited about it — to watch it,” said Reyes.
Reyes says the library has also scheduled fun events and activities surrounding the fun 2006 comedy film starring Jack Black — a monastery cook who wants to be a wrestler.
“We are going to have a trivia before the movie starts. The movie will start at 3 p.m. but we should be able to start a little bit before and it’s just kind of a fun way for people who have already seen the movie to come in and just to remind themselves about some of the quotes in the movie and we are going to have aquas frescas. We are going to have giveaways and some goodies. We are going to have some eagle eggs — our version of eagle eggs, of course. Attendees are also going to have the chance to win a Luchador mask or a Nacho Starter Kit. We are going to have a lot of fun that’s for sure,” said Reyes.
The Nacho Libre Watch Party gets underway at 3 p.m. Saturday at the library.
