(Seguin) — The City of Seguin Information Technology (IT) Department has been honored as an Excellence Award winner by the Texas Association of Governmental Information Technology Managers (TAGITM).
Excellence Award recipients demonstrate outstanding innovation and application of leading – edge computing or communication technologies. Candidates for Excellence Awards are nominated by TAGITM members. Winners are chosen by a committee of peers who judge nominated projects based on their impact on improving internal operations, providing exceptional customer service or enhancing communications.
City of Seguin IT Director Shane McDaniel and IT Operations Manager Justin Ramirez received the award during the TAGITM Annual Conference for the Spillman Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD)/Records Management System (RSM) Integration. This upgraded public safety technology platform will help meet the needs of public safety personnel amid Seguin’s pending surge in housing development and population growth.
