Emma Anna ”Emmie” Krause Sahm, age 89 of Geronimo, passed away on January 6, 2019.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Pastors Sonja and Dave Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at the Peace in the Valley Cemetery in Geronimo. A reception will follow at the Geronimo Memorial VFW Post 8456. Emmie was born January 18, 1929 in Sattler, Texas to Otto and Meta (Schubert) Krause. Emmie met and married the love of her life, Major Clarence E. Sahm, USA (Ret.) on December 20, 1950, and together they spent 65 wonderful years together on their farm near Geronimo. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brothers, Walter Krause, Raymond Krause, Otto Krause, Jr., and Wilton Krause. Emmie is survived by her loving children, Michael Sahm and wife Marilyn, Cynthia Berger-Schmidt, Deborah L. Rider; grandchildren, Lisa, Katie, Chelsea, Steven, Suzanne, David, Daryl, and Randi; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Merlyn Duelm; sister-in-law, Henrietta Brundrett; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends.
