Curtis Henry Schwartz of New Berlin, tx passed away on Thursday sept 6, 2018 after struggling with a severe case of pneumonia.
He was born in San Antonio, tx on November 15th 1957 to Lloyd and Dorothy Schwartz. Curtis graduated from Seguin High School in 1975. He was a football player and also took a building class which was the head start to his career as a master carpenter. Curtis was the one called whenever a friend or family member was in need. He was a calm man and always had a big bright smile to greet you. His love of rock and roll was part of his life from a very young age. He worked as a backstage security for some of the biggest bands to perform in San Antonio. It was not unusual for him to run into someone he knew, no matter the circumstance. Curtis loved hanging with his family and friends; drinking beer and playing rock n roll. You could always count on his air guitar performance at any moment. He is preceded in death by his brother, Carl Schwartz, and both of his parents. He is survived by a son, Curtis Schwartz jr. and his wife, Maria and his grandchildren Carson, Landon and Emiline. His two sisters Karen leeward and Kris Flaughen and husband Bill plus his loving nephews and nieces. He also survived by his long time partner and best friend, Daphne Crump. The wonderful celebration of life took place on September 10th. His friends invite you to the Curtis Schwartz benefit being held Saturday September 22 at Leunsmanns in New Berlin at 4 pm.
