What is your current occupation (or where do you attend school), and what does that involve?
“I am a freelance graphic designer; God is making a way for me to build a business. Graphic Design is a combination of photos, images, text, and imagination that creates a visual to express something. It is branding a company with its own logo, business cards and brochures. It can be posters, fliers, billboards, signs and t-shirts; design is everywhere.”
What do you do off the clock “Just for fun?”
“Well, when I’m not spending time with Jesus, I spend time with family: talking, hanging out and watching Anime and movies with my nieces.”

What is the biggest challenge you’ve ever faced?
“Every day is a new day with new challenges, but I would have to say overall, my biggest challenge so far has been the risk of losing my soul and life forever. Jesus saved me.”
What is your favorite TV show and movie?
“Because I do not get as much free time as I’d like, I don’t really have a favorite anything. I absolutely love: spiritual and positive, everything super-hero, action, adventure, comedy, anime, manga, and almost every kind of animation/Claymation/CGI out there.”
What type of music do you enjoy (favorite band, song, etc…)?
“I love music as a whole and listen to everything from classical and Christian to Latin hip-hop and rock.”

“Honestly, I’ve only been back to Seguin about a year so I’m still exploring all the new places in town and I support the local businesses as much as possible. I’m still making the way around town.”
What is something folks may not really know about you?
“Well after my divorce, I legally changed my name. Since I was a kid, there were people that called me Joy and Joy Joy here and there, so that stuck with me. Instead of going back to Vega, I decided to take my grandfather’s original last name to De La Vega. God changed Abraham and Sarah’s name because they were new people with new lives, He gave me a new identity too.”
If you could assemble a dinner party with any five guests (living or dead) -excluding immediate living family members – who would they be?
“Well a dinner party should be fun, so I would ask Jesus because He’s the life of every great party; His disciple Peter because he is the only person to ever rebuke Jesus (I’d love to hear those stories); Leonardo Di Vinci because he is interesting to me with all his inventions and artistic talents; King Solomon because he is the wisest man ever to live (I want to know his sense of humor at a party); and Carol Burnett because she is so funny.”
