(Seguin) — If you’ve been losing sleep over a contract you don’t understand, a bill you believe isn’t right, or paperwork you’re afraid of – then help has arrived – free help!
The Seguin Public Library, in partnership with Landeros Law Firm, PLLC, will be hosting a Free Legal Advice Clinic today (Friday. Feb.20) beginning at 10 a.m. Organizers say the clinic offers local residents the chance to sit down one-on-one with an attorney for a private 15-minute consultation.
Appointment slots are available between 10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., and registration is required.
This clinic is designed for individuals with non-criminal legal questions who may not know where to start. Attorneys will provide general legal information and guidance on possible next steps for a variety of civil matters, including contract disputes, small claims issues and property damage concerns.
The clinic will also address consumer protection claims such as unfair business practices, deceptive advertising, defective products, and concerns related to insurance policies or warranties.
In addition, participants may ask questions about divorce, foreclosure, veterans’ benefits, wills, estates and other civil legal topics. Organizers encourage attendees to bring any documents or paperwork related to their situation to make the most of their consultation time.
There are no costs and no obligations associated with the program. Community members simply need to register in advance and plan to check in five minutes before their scheduled appointment.
The clinic is free and open to the public.
