Seguin ISD Teachers of the Year announced


(Seguin) — The top teachers in the Seguin ISD for the 2018-2019 have been named. The teachers were each selected as Teacher of the Year by their campus peers.

Those named as Teacher of the Year for their respective schools include Kimberly Guerrero, of Ball Early Childhood Center; Beth Zipp of Jefferson Avenue Elementary School; Patricia Bischoff, of Koennecke Elementary School; John Martinez, of McQueeney Elementary School; Katherine Varnes, of Patlan Elementary School; Candyce Hartmann, of Rodriguez Elementary School; Carolina Martinez, of Vogel Elementary School; Stephanie Ramirez, of Weinert Elementary School; Kristin Young, of Barnes Middle School; Laci Stamm, of Briesemeister Middle School; Elisa Chandler, of Burges Alternative School; Brandy Grimm, of Mercer-Blumberg Learning Center and Taylor Winters, of Seguin High School.

Each of these teachers will now go on to compete for the district’s title of Seguin ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year and Secondary Teacher of the Year. The annual awards banquet is slated for May 22.
