(Seguin) -- There's a new sound Sunday mornings on Seguin Radio KWED. Listeners are encouraged to tune in this weekend for Sunday Morning Live with Linda Duncan. Duncan returns to the radio station as the host of the new Sunday morning programming on AM 1580 KWED. Duncan, who years ago served as the on-air Farm and Ranch Director, has returned to offer the live ministry throughout the morning.
"I'm so excited, first of all, to be back on the air. I feel like I've come home here to Seguin Radio KWED with a little bit different twist. I'm getting to do two things that I really love. One, to talk and be on the radio and two, to share my faith a little bit and to share contemporary Christian music and praise music with folks," said Duncan. "It's something that I love, and so I'm really excited to get to share that with everyone on the program."
Linda Duncan is the host of Sunday Morning Live 6 a.m. to noon Sundays on Seguin Radio KWED and online at seguintoday.com.
Duncan says she is looking to engage many folks as possible with yet another source for personal and spiritual encouragement.
"The original programming that we've done on Sunday mornings, all of the church services that play normally, are going to stay the same. The only difference is between the seven and eight o'clock and between 11:30 and noon, we'll do original programming. What you will hear is contemporary Christian music and praise music, and then you never know who might stop by. We'll have special guests in the studio - people who maybe have a guitar or whatever. I just want it to be really fun," said Duncan.
Duncan encourages folks to tune in via radio or listen online at SeguinToday.com.
"I want people to know that while I'm playing these songs, I'm worshipping. This is my church. I'm not getting to go to church on Sunday mornings because I look at this as a ministry that I'm doing. So I'm having church. I usually try to plan it out a little bit, but it's still a little organic. It just kind-of happens, and I just kind-of play the songs as the spirit moves me as I'm putting the playlist together for the day. I know at that moment that I'm worshipping, and then I know whoever is listening, I'm getting them ready for worship or maybe that is their worship for the day. To come together corporately and to worship, it's just amazing to me. The Bible says that God inhabits the praises of his people, and I'm just so excited that I get to share this love in my life and the joy that I get from walking with the Lord with my community," said Duncan.
Other Sunday morning programming includes Greater Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, The Lutheran Hour, First Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church and Emanuel's Lutheran Church.
