Michael Edward Jarrett, age 58 of Seguin, went to be with the Lord at 3:04 p.m., 29, August 2013.  Mike was a “military brat” and born in Warrington England, at Burtonwood RAF Air Field where his father was in the United States Air Force as a B-29 pilot.  He leaves his father James L. Jarrett, son Travis Jarrett, daughter, Ashley Jarrett and three brothers, David, Steve and Lee Jarrett.  Graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at San Geronimo Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Guadalupe County Humane Society, P. Donna D. Grimm Due age 60 of Seguin, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 10am at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Pastoral Assistant Donna Lou Zipp officiating. Interment will follow in Dugger Cemetery. Donna was born February 5, 1953 in Seguin, Texas to Albert and Hilda Schul Grimm.  She was a member of the American Legion H U Wood Post 245 Auxiliary and a 50 year member of the Seguin Herman Sons Lodge #37.  She is preceded in death by her mother and her brother Leonard Grimm.  Survivors include her husband, Matthew Due; father, Albert “Curly” Grimm; brother, Kenneth Grimm; nephews, Byron Grimm and Jerry Grimm; niece, Jannette and husband Lorenzo Pardo; great-nieces and nephews, Morgan and Peyton Grimm, Ethan Grimm and Preston Pardo.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Guadalupe County Humane Society, P.O. Clinton Schmidt, Known as Smitty to most, went home to be with the Lord August 30, 2013 at the age of 86. He was born April 21, 1927 in Guadalupe County to Fritz and Louise Jahns Schmidt. Clinton had a limited education due to his family’s need for him to work in the cotton fields. He served in the US Army as a Rifleman in the Infantry until his Honorable Discharge. Not long after he met and married his wife of 65 years, Elyuease Voigt Schmidt. This union was blessed by two sons, David and Kenny. Clinton was a hard working man and a dedicated employee who worked for Schroeder Distributing in Seguin for 33 years. This job gave him the opportunity to meet and know many throughout the county who all thought very highly of him. He enjoyed traveling, playing cards/ dominos, softball/baseball, fishing at the family tank and he especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends. He had a special love for all his nieces and nephews and their children.  He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Elton Schmidt, Wilburn Schmidt, Elgin Schmidt, and Fritz Schmidt, Jr.  and three sisters, Addlee Willard, MaryDell Woods and Evelyn Cowey.  Survivors include his wife Elyuease Voigt Schmidt; sons, Kenny Schmidt, David Schmidt and wife Cindy; sister, Shirley Malone and husband Stanley; brother, Charles Schmidt and wife Betty; sisters-in-law, Betty Schmidt, Judy Schmidt, Madelyn Schmidt and Rosalyn Dietz; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Layne Dietz, Clinton’s nephew officiating.  Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park with military honors under the auspices of American Legion HU Wood Post 245 of which Clinton was a lifetime member.   Serving as pallbearers will be his nephews.  The family would like to thank the staff of Remarkable Health Care, GRMC, Dr. TamTam, Patricia Ramey and Tres Hewell Mortuary for their excellent care and support. John D. Mullins, Sr., age 77 of Seguin, passed away on September 1, 2013.  A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at   11 a. m. at Tree of Life Church in New Braunfels with Pastor Don Duncan officiating.  Private interment will be held at a later date.  John was born on June 7, 1936 in Great Bend Kansas to John Mylan and Mary Rosalie Montgomery Mullins.  He proudly served his country as a Marine.  John will be remembered as part of the Plumbing Department at Home Depot in Seguin.  He cherished his time with his family especially his wife, children and grandchildren and he also enjoyed fishing.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Sally Stanfield Mullins and his daughter, Stephanie Mullins.  Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Janelle Mullins, his children, John Mullns, Jr. and wife Christine, Craig Mullins and wife Amber, Amy Mullins-Hill, Elizabeth Mullins, Katy Adams, and Mary Willard; brother, Robert Mullins and wife Connie; 17 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  John loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and now rests with him.  Memorial contributions may be made to Tree of Life Church, 5513 IH 35 S., New Braunfels, Texas, 78132.  You are invited to sign the guest book at www.treshewell.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Tres Hewell Mortuary, 165 Tor Dr., Seguin, Texas, 78155, 830-549-5912.      
 
Alova J. Wohlfahrt, age 84, passed away on September 2, 2013.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Friday, September 6, 2013 at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 10 a.m. with Rev. Jim Price officiating.  Interment will follow in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Marion.  Alova was born on December 29, 1928 in Crawford Colorado to Charles and Katy Claudine Collins Pipher.  She is preceded in death by her husband Kermit Wohlfahrt, her grandson, Scott Deatherage, her granddaughters, Shayne Deatherage and Heather Glover, her parents, one brother and two sisters.  Survivors include her children, Harvey Bruce Deatherage and wife Pat; Johnny Ray Deatherage, James Deatherage and wife Laurie, Kerrie Glover and boyfriend David Stolleis, Karleen Back and boyfriend Floyd Chamniss, Edward Wohlfahrt and wife Brenda; step-daughters, Joyce Dale and husband Alan, Connie Kennedy and husband Wayne and Beverley Kleinjan and husband David; siblings, Luce Pipher, Crystal Pipher, Hetty Todd and husband Larry and Kermit Pipher and wife Laura; 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces nephews and other loving family and friends.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, P. Clarence Earl Faulkner of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013.  He met the challenge of fighting cardiac disease and malignancy with courage and perseverance. Earl was born in Leakey, Texas on August 3, 1940.  His parents were Clarence Leonard Faulkner and Maida Christine Haby Faulkner.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Bob Suttle and Bill Suttle. He is survived by a daughter, Cristyn Marie Park and her husband Gordon Park, grandsons, Garrett Armstrong and Evin Earl Park of Boerne, Texas and sisters Jerrie Pletcher of San Antonio, Texas and Billie Jean Davis of Uvalde, Texas. Earl is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special friend Pat Norman. A service celebrating his life will be held at Bethel Methodist Church, 39002 FM 3159, New Braunfels, Texas on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 13431 Blanco Road, San Antonio, Texas 78216, The American Heart Association, or The American Cancer Society.
