Douglas M. Heinemeyer, age73 of Seguin, passed away on November 11, 2017.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, November
17, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Cross Church with Rev. Jim Price officiating. Interment will follow in the Lone Oak Cemetery in Geronimo.  Doug was born on June 26, 1944 in Seguin, Texas to George Willie and Romie Linda (Moltz) Heinemeyer.  Doug was baptized and confirmed at Cross Church.  He had served as a Sunday School Teacher, Church Council Member, Usher and was a member of the Men's Brotherhood.  He graduated from Seguin High School in 1962 and from Southwest Texas State University in 1966 (TSU).  He worked for IBM for 20 years and then as a Market Manager for Wuest Grocery for several years. Later he worked for 14 years at CMC Steel.  Doug loved to garden, but his most precious time was spent with family whom he loved dearly and would do anything to help them.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Georgie Ann.  Doug preceded his niece, Rebecca Rosson in death, just hours before she passed away.  Survivors include his loving wife of 18 years, Alice Adcock Heinemeyer; son, Scott Heinemeyer and wife Ashley; step-sons, Michael Schulze and wife Marsha, Daniel Schulze, and Eric Schulze and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Natalie and Foster Heinemeyer, Mayson, Madyson, Weston and wife Ashley, Arlan, Miles, Garrett and Colby Schulze; great-granddaughter, Berkley Schulze; brother, Ronald Heinemeyer and wife Karen; nieces, Beth Bauchman and husband John Allen, and Sabrina Rios and
husband Raul; aunt, Lula Mae Thomas; numerous cousins, other loving family members and many friends.  The family would like to thank the staff of Remarkable Health Care and Kindred Hospice for their loving and compassionate care and support of Doug.
